How to use the Aeneas Backup System
This guide will walk the user through how to use the Aeneas Backup System to successfully store and secure data the user wishes to do such with.
1. 1. Log into the system by going to “backup.aeneas.net” and typing in your username and password in the allotted fields as shown in the image below.
2. The screen you now see is the homepage of the backup system as shown in the image below with the icons pointed out as to what they entail.
3. From the home directory (the screen you are on when you first log in) you can do multiple things. First off you can create a new folder as to store your files in instead of uploading them to the home directory. The create folder screen is shown in the image below. Just type the folder name in the blank provided and then click the button that says “Create new folder in current folder” and that’s all there is to it.

4. The next thing you can do is upload a file to the folder you are in. The file upload screen is shown in the image below. To upload a file click on the button that says browse to the right of the blank and go through your computer to find the file you want. Once you have located the file double click it to add it to the list of files to be uploaded. Once you have selected all your files to be uploaded click on the button that says “Upload files to current folder”.

5. Lastly we have the option to create a brand new text file on the server itself. Click the button that says Create File to get to this option. What you’ll see is displayed in the image below. In the first blank type in the name you want to give your file followed by .txt Then in the large blank below that add in the text that you want to be in that file. Once you have it to your satisfaction click the button that says “Create File.”

6. That’s all there is to using the Aeneas Backup System. Included below is an image of what the screen will look like once you have some files and a folder uploaded and created.
